DISPOSABLES

Monitor how long of a draw you’re taking.

The puff count is calculated based on an average draw length, which you might be surpassing. If you find yourself consistently getting fewer puffs than anticipated, consider upgrading to a refillable and rechargeable vape kit that matches your vaping style better, offering greater cost-effectiveness and less wastage over time.

Take a break.

Be mindful of when you genuinely need to vape, similar to how you would with a cigarette, rather than carrying your vape openly and puffing away unintentionally. Keep it in your pocket or handbag while you’re out and about, or designate a vaping area at home for when you choose to use it.

Check your dosage.

You might be taking longer draws or more puffs than you realize in an attempt to satisfy your cravings. Consider using a higher nicotine strength temporarily until your cravings diminish and you find yourself reaching for your vape less frequently.

If your disposable already contains the maximum 20mg of nicotine, you could be vaping excessively and increasing your nicotine intake compared to when you smoked, potentially raising your tolerance. Taking deliberate "vape breaks" can naturally reduce your nicotine dependency over time.

Give it a rest!

If you vape all the liquid from the coil without allowing it to absorb more juice, you risk inhaling burnt cotton. Preventing this is straightforward: after a few puffs, set the device down and wait a minute before taking another draw. This gives the coil time to reabsorb the e-liquid, ensuring a better vaping experience.

Move it about!

If your tank is nearly empty, tilt or even tip the device upside down for a short while to ensure the remaining juice reaches the coil. Additionally, if the wick is nearing the end of its lifespan, it may not absorb liquid as effectively as when new. Allowing it to sit for a while could extend the usability of your disposable device a bit longer.

If all else fails:

Disposable vape devices are designed for limited use. Once the e-liquid reservoir is empty or the battery is depleted, it’s time for a replacement.

These disposable vape bars are meant to provide a similar number of puffs as a pack of cigarettes, though this can vary between brands. If your current vape isn’t meeting your expectations, consider exploring other disposable options with larger e-liquid volumes or switching to a refillable vape kit.

VAPE KITS

Consider how much you vape throughout the day to understand why the battery in my vape kit doesn’t stay charged for long.

It's possible that the vape kit you purchased has a smaller battery capacity than what's needed for your vaping habits. Check the mAh rating of your device; a higher mAh rating means the battery can hold more charge and last longer. If you find your current battery isn't lasting through the day, consider upgrading to one with a higher storage capacity.

Are you charging your vape kit right?

Rechargeable batteries can have a long lifespan if you charge them properly. To extend the longevity of lithium-ion batteries, avoid charging them to 100% and instead cycle between 85% and 25%. It's advisable not to leave your vape kit charging overnight to prevent overcharging. Additionally, after about 30 charge cycles, let the battery fully discharge before recharging it.

Is your vape actually charging?

Ensure your charging cable is undamaged and the connections are clean. When you plug in your vape kit for charging, it should indicate with a signal that the connection is established and charging has begun.

Check your socket!

Make sure your charging socket is clear of any lint or debris. Use a toothpick or similar tool to remove any buildup, ensuring a clean and reliable connection for charging.

If all else fails:

As with any electrical device using a rechargeable battery, your vape kit's storage capacity diminishes over time. If you're experiencing reduced performance, it may be time to consider a replacement. Check out our extensive range for suitable options.

Avoid overfilling your vape kit.

Ensure you haven’t overfilled the pod or tank, as this can cause e-liquid to pool in the central tube. Leaving a small amount of air inside creates a vacuum that helps prevent leakage.

Don't over tighten your tank to the battery.

Make sure all components are properly threaded, but avoid over-tightening them.

Check your pod/tank hasn't cracked.

If your tank glass is cracked, we offer replacement glass for a wide range of atomisers. If your pod is cracked, it’s time to switch to a new one.

Has your vape kit been on its side for a while?

It’s recommended to store your vaping device upright when not in use.

Have you just been on a plane?

After a flight, changes in air pressure can force vape juice out of the pod or tank through any available gaps. Always empty your vape pod or tank before take-off.

If all else fails:

Your vaping preferences might be better suited to a different vape kit. Alternatively, you might be using a high PG liquid that isn't compatible with the pod, tank, and coil setup you're using. Feel free to discuss with us to explore our wide range of vape kits that may better suit your needs.

Check the coil

If e-liquid is accumulating around the connections of your pod kit, it could indicate that your coil needs replacing. An old coil may not wick e-liquid effectively, leading to pooling around the connections. Try switching to a new coil and ensure it's properly primed to see if this resolves the issue.

Check the wattage

Additionally, ensure that the wattage of your vape kit matches the recommended range for your coil's resistance. If the wattage is too low, the e-liquid may not vaporise quickly enough, causing flooding and leakage through the connections. Gradually increasing the wattage can help vaporise the juice more efficiently per puff.

Charge your battery.

Lastly, if your battery is low on charge, it may not provide sufficient power to heat the coil properly, resulting in flooding and leakage. Try charging your pod kit to see if this improves performance.

Ensure there is no direct heat source affecting your device.

Ensure your vape kit hasn’t been left in a hot environment, which can cause overheating and thinning of the e-liquid.

Inspect the coil to ensure it is functioning properly.

If your coil is nearing the end of its lifespan, it may not wick e-liquid effectively, leading to potential leakage when you draw. Try replacing the coil and properly priming it to address this issue.

Consider how you typically vape.

Consider your vaping style; using a device designed for Direct-to-Lung (DTL) vaping in Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) mode can cause overheating and e-liquid thinning.

Evaluate the compatibility of your e-liquid with your coil.

For low-resistance (sub-ohm) coils with larger airflow holes, ensure you're using higher VG (thicker) vape juice. High PG (thinner) e-liquids can leak through the airflow.

Check and adjust your wattage settings as needed.

Adjust your wattage settings according to the coil's resistance range. Setting the wattage too low can prevent efficient vaporization of e-liquid, leading to flooding and leakage through the airflow. Gradually increasing the wattage can improve vapor production per puff.

Check if it’s turned on

Make sure to check if your vape kit is turned on. If you suspect it's off, try pressing the power button multiple times in quick succession—usually 3, 5, or 6 times, depending on your device. Consult your user manual for the exact procedure.

Charge the battery

Verify the battery status and charge it if necessary. Ensure you're using the correct charger for your battery type, and observe any indicators that confirm the charging process has started.

Check for connection issues

Inspect for any connection issues between the battery and the pod or tank. Clean the terminals thoroughly using a cotton bud to remove any accumulated dust or residue.

If none of that worked

If these troubleshooting steps don't resolve the problem, keep in mind that vape kits, like any electrical device, can eventually stop working. If your device is still under warranty, reach out to us for assistance. Otherwise, consider exploring our range for a suitable replacement.

VAPE USAGE

Is it time to replace your coil?

Coils have a finite lifespan, and as they degrade, they can impart a harsh, burnt taste to your vape. The frequency of replacement depends on various factors (explore more in our comprehensive guide to vape coils).

Have you primed your new coil properly?

If you've recently installed a new coil, ensure the wicking material is thoroughly saturated with e-liquid before vaping. Refer to our detailed guide on coil priming for best practices.

Check your wattage settings

Adjust the wattage according to the coil's resistance. Setting it too high can lead to burning the wicking material.

Ensure sufficient e-liquid

Keep the coil's airflow holes submerged to prevent it from drying out.

If these measures fail to resolve the issue:

Taking too many consecutive puffs may not give the coil enough time to absorb new vape juice between hits. Consider allowing your vape kit to rest briefly between puffs.

Ensure the battery is charged

Make sure your vape kit is switched on and has sufficient charge.

Check e-liquid levels

Ensure there is enough e-liquid in your tank or pod.

Inspect the coil

If your coil is nearing the end of its lifespan, it may not be wicking e-liquid effectively. Try replacing it with a new coil and priming it correctly to see if this resolves the issue.

Verify for connection issues

Ensure the terminal between the battery and the pod/tank is clean. Use a cotton bud to remove any dust particles or residue.

If these steps don't resolve the issue:

Occasionally, a coil can be defective despite being properly primed. Sometimes the cotton can be too tightly packed, restricting airflow and preventing proper draw. Replace the coil with a new one and notify us about the faulty coil so we can arrange a replacement for you.

Check the VG/PG ratio of your e-liquid

VG is the component responsible for producing large clouds. If you're unsatisfied with your vapor production, consider switching to a vape juice with a higher VG content. Ensure your vape kit/coil combination is suitable for handling high VG liquids.

Inspect the coil

Ensure the coil is adequately saturated and not in need of replacement. If replacement is necessary, always follow our coil priming guide.

Verify if your vape kit needs charging

Ensure the battery is sufficiently charged to provide the power required for effective coil heating.

Check for connection issues

Clean the terminal between the battery and the pod/tank to remove any dust or residue using a cotton bud.

If these steps do not improve cloud production:

It may be time to upgrade to a more powerful device. More power typically results in larger clouds. We offer a wide range of variable power vape kits that can enhance your cloud-chasing experience.

Check the VG/PG ratio of your e-liquid

PG provides the throat hit, so if you're not satisfied, consider switching to a higher PG vape juice. Ensure your vape kit/coil combination can handle high PG liquids.

Consider the type of nicotine in your e-liquid

Freebase nicotine offers a sharper throat hit compared to nicotine salt. If you prefer a stronger sensation, try switching to freebase vape juice. Also, ensure the nicotine strength is adequate for your preference.

Evaluate the flavour profile of your e-liquid

Menthol, tobacco, and citrus flavours typically deliver a more pronounced throat hit than sweet, fruity, and creamy options.

If these steps don't enhance your throat hit:

Consider upgrading to a device that offers more control over power, airflow, and temperature. We offer a wide selection of advanced variable wattage vape kits designed for a fully customisable vaping experience.

Check the VG/PG ratio of your e-liquid

PG provides the throat hit, so if it's too intense, consider switching to a higher VG vape juice. Ensure your vape kit/coil combination is suitable for handling high VG liquids.

Consider the type of nicotine in your e-liquid

Freebase nicotine delivers a sharper throat hit compared to nicotine salt. If the throat hit is too strong for your preference, consider switching to nic salt vape juice. Also, ensure the nicotine strength is suitable for your desired vaping experience.

Evaluate the flavour profile of your e-liquid

Menthol, tobacco, and citrus flavours typically deliver a stronger throat hit. If you find it too harsh, try switching to one of the many sweet, fruity, or creamy flavours available.

Evaluate the nicotine strength of your e-liquid

Have you reduced the nicotine strength too quickly after quitting smoking? Consider increasing the strength temporarily until your cravings are manageable.

Consider the type of nicotine in your e-liquid

Freebase nicotine e-liquids deliver nicotine more slowly into the bloodstream compared to cigarettes, which may not provide the instant satisfaction you're used to. Try switching to a vape juice with nic salts for faster nicotine absorption.

Assess your vaping style

For optimal nicotine absorption, use Mouth-to-Lung (MTL) vaping techniques with long, gentle draws on your vape kit. Direct-to-Lung (DTL) vaping with high nicotine vape juice may not effectively deliver nicotine.

Inspect the coil

Ensure the coil is adequately saturated and not in need of replacement. Follow our coil priming guide if replacement is necessary.

Try hydrating

If you're experiencing reduced flavour perception, it could be due to olfactory fatigue, similar to becoming 'nose blind'. Take a sip of water to cleanse your palate and see if that enhances flavour detection.

Evaluate the age of your e-liquid

Over time, e-liquids can degrade in flavour due to oxidation. If your bottles last a while, consider switching to smaller bottles and ensure proper storage conditions to maintain flavour quality.

Inspect the coil

Ensure the coil is adequately saturated and not in need of replacement. Follow our coil priming guide if replacement is necessary.

Experiment with different flavours

If you've been vaping the same flavour exclusively, you might be experiencing vaper's tongue, a type of olfactory fatigue. Try switching between different flavours or brands to refresh your taste buds.

Check for connection issues

Clean the terminal between the battery and the pod/tank to remove any dust or residue using a cotton bud. Ensure no build-up is affecting flavour delivery.

Consider external factors

Factors like illness (such as a cold or Covid-19), stress, certain infections, or medications can temporarily impact your sense of taste and smell, affecting flavour perception.

If these steps do not improve flavour:

External factors like illness or medication may be affecting your taste perception. If problems persist, consider consulting a healthcare professional.

Try flicking your vape device

Remove the mouthpiece or drip tip (if possible) and gently tap or flick the device towards a tissue or outside area to dislodge any excess vape juice from the coil.

Try blowing into your vape kit

Turn off your device and gently blow through the mouthpiece to clear excess vape juice around the coil.

Avoid overfilling your vape kit

Ensure the pod or tank isn’t filled beyond capacity, as excess e-liquid pooling in the central tube can cause spitting. Leave some air space to create a vacuum and prevent liquid buildup in the mouthpiece.

Inspect the coil

If the coil is nearing the end of its lifespan, it may not wick e-liquid effectively, leading to spitting and gurgling. Replace the coil and prime it properly to see if this resolves the issue.

Thoroughly clean your pod or tank

Disassemble the pod or tank and rinse it under warm water to remove any remaining juice. Dry it thoroughly with paper towels before reassembling.

Evaluate your vaping technique

If the problem persists, your inhaling method may not suit your current tank, pod, or coil setup. Consider switching to equipment designed for Direct-to-Lung (DTL) vaping for smoother operation.

If these steps don't fix the issue:

Continued spitting or gurgling may indicate a more complex issue. Contact a vape specialist or customer service for further guidance.

E-LIQUIDS

Consider e-liquid storage

Store your e-liquid bottles in a cool, dark, dry place. Refer to our guide on proper vape juice storage for detailed instructions.

Check duration in pod/tank

Extended exposure to heat, UV light, and oxygen can darken e-liquid. If you vape infrequently, consider partially filling your pod or tank to minimize colour changes.

Evaluate nicotine strength

Higher nicotine concentrations oxidize faster, causing e-liquids to darken more rapidly.

Ensure tank cleanliness

Residual old e-liquid can impact new juice in the tank or pod.

Inspect the coil

If your coil is near the end of its lifespan, particles from the heating element might be contaminating the e-liquid. Try switching to a new coil and properly priming it to see if this resolves the issue.

If these steps don't resolve the issue:

E-liquids naturally darken over time, regardless of storage conditions. Additionally, e-liquids with freebase nicotine have a shorter shelf life compared to those with nicotine salts due to oxidation effects.
